FAQs

  • What's the weather like?

Late July in Pinecrest averages highs of 85 and lows of 54. It should be warm and sunny during the days but will cool off at night. We recommend bringing warm layers in case you get chilly.

  • Do I need to be there both nights?

Nope - that is up to you. But we’d love to have you join us for both evenings! We are not having a traditional rehearsal dinner; Friday night is open to all wedding guests.

  • What meals should I plan on?

We'll be serving dinner and beverages for everyone who attends the Friday night celebration (taco truck), as well as the wedding dinner on Saturday night.

For those staying onsite, we will serve a light breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning. You are on your own for lunch on Saturday; there are a number of restaurants in the area or you can bring lunch supplies to store in your cabin.

  • What should I wear on Friday?

Friday night is very casual. Wear anything you’d like. Shorts and sandals are fine.

  • What should I wear to the wedding?

Cocktail attire. Wear something that makes you feel spiffy but no need to be stuffy. Ties are not required.

The ground is uneven, and it will be hot - we recommend leaving stilettos and thick wool suits at home!

If you are staying onsite, you can always run back to your cabin for an outfit change.

  • What's the property like and what should I bring?

The Pinecrest Chalet is a rustic mountain resort. The accommodations on-site are simple but comfortable, with electricity and running water. We'll have seating set up for all the events.

If you are staying onsite, it wouldn't hurt to bring a few lawn chairs / coolers with you to set up around the property or at the lake.

  • Will there be swimming?

Yes! The lake is about a 15 minute walk from the property. There will be pontoon boats and swimming on Friday if you are able to join us.

  • Can I bring my dog?

We kindly ask that you leave your furry friend at home for the weekend.

  • Anything missing?
